Seoul, is perhaps one of the most expensive cities in the world. The only city , where I got pinched so hard on travel expenses was "Oslo". Never did I imagine that an Asian city could be so damn expensive. Stayed at a 3 star hotel with prices around $95 and one time food around $25. The taxi is totally ruled out and the best way to travel is still the underground railway. Though the stations have no english routing
The S.Koreans are very hard working and keep slogging themselves till late in the evening. This is one country, where the male species dresses smart and competes against the female species. Don't be surprised that the beggar in the train will be also smartly dressed in a suit and tie.
The Korean culture is largely influenced by the Chinese culture. The early settlers into Korea migrated out of China. The vivid architecture of Korea is largely a footprint of Chinese architecture.
Interestingly, S.Korea is another country which retains the ceremony of " Change of Guards" at the Royal palace, though there is no king now in the palace.
The two lovely ladies were my host in Seoul to show me around. I got picked up from the airport and the city drive is a cool one hour drive.
The next day was the trip to the Palace for witnessing the
